This shows you how to fit a the simple installation process, which only takes around 10-15 minutes with just a Phillips head screwdriver and a drill fitted with a 4mm (8/32) bit.
The Uni-Trans Mount includes: A Uni-Trans Protector Cover which shields your transducer from damage when hitting the bottom, rocks, or when landing on shore as well as stainless steel fasteners to complete the task.

Installation Steps: Unscrew the Hobie Guardian Plus Transducer Cover, and retain the screws. Run the transducer cable through the Guardian Plus Transducer Cover and the centre scupper hole.

Mark the holes through the Uni-Trans Protection Cover with a marker pen.

Remove the Uni-Trans Protection Cover and drill 4mm holes as you have marked using a 4mm bit.

Place the transducer in position, with the Uni-Trans Protection Cover over the top, and use the supplied stainless steel screws, washers and nuts to attach your transducer to the aligned holes.

Refit the Guardian and the new transducer cover to the base of the Hobie using the existing screws.

The job is now complete, and your transducer is fully protected and ready for action.
