Learn how to install the BerleyPro Uni-Trans Mount – a universal fish finder transducer mounting platform designed for the Hobie Outback models (with Lowrance 3 in 1 transducer). This step-by-step tutorial will guide you through the simple installation process, which only takes around 5–10 minutes with just a Phillips head screwdriver and a drill (4mm bit).
The Uni-Trans Mount includes: The Uni-Trans Protector Cover which shields your transducer from damage when hitting the bottom, rocks, or when landing on shore and stainless steel hardware needed to complete the installation.
Installation Steps:
Unscrew the Hobie Guardian Plus Transducer Cover, and retain the screws. Run the transducer cable through the Guardian Plus Transducer Cover and the centre scupper hole.
Mark the holes through the Uni-Trans Protection Cover with a marker pen.
Remove the Uni-Trans Protection Cover and drill 4mm holes as you have marked using a 4mm bit.
Place the transducer in position, with the Uni-Trans Protection Cover over the top, and use the supplied stainless steel screws, washers and nuts to attach your transducer to the aligned holes.
